"My clinical philosophy is built around three key concepts that when taken together I've coined as a Joyful ABA session. The focus of these sessions is on learner assent, building meaningful social interaction skills, and embedding choice throughout all aspects of the ABA session. The importance of play skills is emphasized and utilized as a vessel to develop the foundational repertoires that must be in place for more advanced language and social learning to occur. We emphasize creating learning spaces and interactions that are infused with happiness so that our learners can trust we will teach them in ways that support their autonomy and develop important self-advocacy skills. I find a great deal of joy in supporting our clinicians as they develop the skills that support a compassionate model of care for our learners at all ages"

"My strengths in cultural competence and inclusion shape my clinical practice. My greatest joy is helping kids acquire the skills they need to live their best life. I love seeing the data be taken across multiple settings to ensure our clients are performing consistently. It is this progress and growth that fuels my passion for the field of ABA."

"I'm proud of our emphasis on client dignity and choosing meaningful goals for both the family and for the client. A constant analysis of data and procedural integrity ensures that progress is always being made and the best strategies are being implemented. In this company, integrity, compassion, and the ethics of care are priorities that come from the top down and the latest in research is always presented to ensure we are providing the most up-to-date effective care possible. As a Clinical Supervisor, I bring 15 years of experience working with toddlers to adults in clinic-based treatment, home, and in the school setting. I love working with this population and teaching them skills with the hopes that they last a life time and help them to be happy, fulfilled individuals who can access their full potential."

"I use data to ensure we are on track to meeting our learners' goals and monitor any adjustments made. I also use data to help caregivers reflect back on where their child started and how far they have grown. I am proud to provide services that meet our learners where they are at and ensure they achieve goals that are meaningful for them as individuals. I am grateful to be a part of each learner's journey. I am also thankful for each interaction that I have with staff, families and clients as it is an opportunity to learn something new. I come from a well-rounded background that has allowed me to work with a variety of wonderful people such as SLPs, OTs, Child Development Specialists, and BCBAs, including here at Achieve Behavior Change. In addition, I have extensive experience in child development that allows me to tailor goals to fit our learners' needs."
Assistant Clinical Coordinator
"In my clinical practice, I strive to provide ethical, effective and meaningful care to the families in Kern County. Our client's progress is constantly under review to make sure we are providing the right guidance our learners need to be successful and independent. I am proud to serve our learners individualized, play-based ABA sessions. The part I love the most about my job is hearing how proud parents are of their child’s progress toward goals that mean the most to them. It inspires me how our learners are constantly making change for the better and becoming more independent day-by-day. I am mostly inspired by the stories our families share when they see meaningful change in their day-to-day life."

Clinical Director
"My experience in this field began over 25 years ago, in 1997, when I took a job providing 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis intervention for children with autism at a research replication site. I was a community college student at the time, and my love for the field guided my decisions about what to study in graduate school and to continue to work with clients in various roles; first as an interventionist, then as a supervisor, and currently as a clinical director. I have always been fascinated by what the science of Applied Behavior Analysis can do to help us all learn and grow. Each client is a unique individual whose behavior is shaped by many different life experiences, situations, and people around them. I see my underlying role as discovering what each individual needs and provide that support along with parents, caregivers, teachers, interventionists, and others with a shared desire for our client’s success. "I use data to see if a treatment protocol is increasing a wanted behavior or decreasing an unwanted behavior. If the data is showing there is no progress, I know to modify the protocol to help our client succeed. The data is scientific evidence that ABA truly does work on an individual level. I am extremely proud of being able to make positive changes in families' lives in my clinical practice. I pride myself in working on socially significant behaviors to help our clients increase their independence and prepare them for the rest of their lives. A strength I bring to the clinical team is loving to collaborate with families on treatment plans for their kiddos. It is important to respect culture and take in the family’s opinion on what they would like to work on with their child. I feel collaborating on what is best for each and every kiddo is the only way to help that child succeed in multiple environments."

“Show me the data! I use data to inform and verify my decisions when it comes to clients’ goals. To evaluate efficacy of my intervention, I analyze data to check for changes in level, trend, and variability. It brings me so much joy when I see meaningful behavioral changes in my clients. Itdoes notmatter how big or small. As simple as when a client learns how to point toindicatewants. As grand as hearing a client advocate for themself for the first time.My strengths include a robust background in behavior analysis, with over a decade of clinical experience working with clients fromdiverse culturalbackgrounds. In addition, behavior analysis is one of the lenses in which I view and make sense of the world, which is marvelous to say the least.I am fortunate to have mentors who are passionate when it comes to the advancement of behavior analysis, and they have inspired me to do better every day."

"I love our impact we make on a family's quality of life. We are making changes in people's lives; small or big changes, it all counts. I am a team player and always ready to learn and work hard. I strive to be a good leader and am always willing to help out. I use data to help families see changes... Sometimes the big picture picture needs to be shown, and data helps."
